My Z16, on a trip back from International Falls, MN
during the fall of 1966. Notice the Iowa license plate: 1966 date, 77 = Polk
County (Des Moines is in Polk county). The original owner bought it new in
April 1965 and traded it in about two months after this photo was taken. The
new car? A ‘67 427/435hp Corvette! “The look” of the mid ‘60’s is definitely here:
raised front end, torque thrust - type mags on the front, Centerlines on
back. This is the only piece of history the original owner
